Explain to me BCCI's logic ?

Context:The blogging world doesn't seem to be understanding the logic behind BCCI's selection process.

On December 2, 2008 ,Vmminerva speculated in his write-up--Clock ticks to selection:..., about who will occupy Ganguly's position. In the same post, he asserted that Pujara should be accommodated in the team, now; as if he's ignored now, then the selectors have to pick him when he's out of form. Bloggers Scorpicity and Soulberry on 18 November 2008, also tried to create noise(phrase coinage Naked Cricket), for Pujara's candidature.

On November 25, 2008, Ottayan who writes In the Name of Cricket, tries to bring to notice the feats of J. Pujara, and asserts that if the Selectors still keep on looking at a select few, players like Pujara will not be in the reckoning for some more time.

Straight Point in his December 5, 2008 post campaigns for Pujara. It's clear that he like others is also concerned about Pujara's absense from the test squad for the upcoming series. In another post, titled--Beyond this selection... , he questions the logic behind the selections. He wants you to sign a petition too.

Sam of Armball fame, questions the rationale behind , inclusion of Badrinath and the overlook of J Pujara.

Thank you for the query Sam.

I based this cartoon, solely on the perception of the Bloggers, regarding selection for the upcoming Ind-Eng test series. And going by their writings, I found that there's certain discontent among bloggers, regarding the selections.

I've listed a select posts, under the label --Context, as an edit to the current post.

Hope it'll answer your question.

If you still think the cartoon is unrelated to current happenings, feel free to air your doubts, here.

with thanks
